Take a look at the AMAZING Raz Kid Readers that
passed off a level
last week!
We are now finished learning the alphabet phonemes
and are exploring putting CVC(consonant/vowel/consonant) words together.
We say, “Letters make words. Words come together to make sentences. Sentences begin with a capital and end with
punctuation.” Ask your child to show you
the actions we do to help us remember how to create a sentence.
Q
& U Wedding
The wedding of Mr. Q (a.k.a. Aaron) to Miss U
(a.k.a. Genesis) was fabulous! They will now forever be known as Mr. & Mrs. QU /kw/.
Never to be apart as long as they have words together.
The QU wedding cake was donated by Aylin’s mother
and was so pretty and yummy! The wedding ceremony was performed by our very
own Mr. Kennington. We gave our favorite QU words to Mr. & Mrs. QU. Then we danced.
The flower girl, ring bearer, best men, bride's maids, and Mr. Q & Miss U all getting ready to walk down the isle.
We had such a great time at the Nature Center last
week! It was cold, but we bundled up and
hardly noticed it. Take a look at what
we saw and did. Thank you to all of the
moms that came, too! We learned all about animals in winter and the -ate words that they do: hibernate, congregate, migrate, propagate, generate, and insulate.
STEM Graham Cracker Houses
These
are the candies I have received so far:
We could use more variety like Skittles, gumdrops…
The
children are still busy earning pennies to buy their supplies to build their
graham cracker house. Ask your child how
many pennies they earned in a given day and what they did to earn them.
Have
a fabulous week!
Mrs.
Scalise
