RAZ KID READERS!
Once again we have some fabulous Raz Kid Readers!
These kids all passed of a level of Raz Kids
last week!
GENESIS
ARIANNA
We
are really becoming great botanists! We
know the parts of a plant and what they need to grow. We are observing how our living,
Groovy Grass is changing, daily. We are watering it and even cutting it.
Take
a look at how our celery changed color when we put it in red water. Ask your child to explain what happened.
Unit 5 Assessment
Came home last Friday in your child’s homework folder. Make
sure you celebrate your child’s successes! Then continue to review,
review, and review the ones they missed.
By this time in the school year in language arts your child should
be able to:
·
Read and write all 42 kindergarten sight words
·
Recognize and write all (capital & lowercase) letters of the
alphabet
·
Be able to say all phonemes (letter sounds)
·
Identify the beginning sound in a word
·
Identify the vowel sound in a word
·
Identify the ending sound in a word
·
Write 6 cvc (consonant/vowel/consonant) words
·
Write at least 1 complete sentence to include: a capital letter at
the beginning, all sight words spelled correctly, space between every word, and
end with punctuation. Look on the last page of the test to see how your
child did.
